Our Children Are Disappearing!

   Every day the Eye witness news shows that another child is missing. I do not know for sure who is taking our children  or what they are doing with them, but I do know that we have to take better care of our children. We work hard so that our children can have what they need, at least that is the claim. If we spend so much energy working that we lose them to these monsters, what is the point of it? Maybe people do not really care about their children, in which case I would say carry on as you are.

NY Knicks Heading In Right Direction

   The New York Knickerbockers are a basketball team that is heading in the right direction. They have a coach that the players are willing to play for. The Knicks play good defense now. They also have an offensive strategy that revolves around their star Carmelo Anthony. Anthony is a scorer that will pass the ball to his open team mates. The Knicks should draft a young point guard and forward this year to mix in with what they already have. The Knicks made it back into the post season as a seventh seed. Next year they should rise into the top four teams in the eastern conference. We will have to watch to see how far the Knicks go, but they are exciting again.

Loki From The Avengers Movie

   I saw the movie The Avengers. I can relate to the character Loki, Thor's brother. Loki was stolen from his people and brought up in a house where he could never be number one. He was raised to be against his blood people. Loki did not find out about his true self until he was fully grown. Those who stole Loki also stole the resources of his people and used those resources to keep them under control. Loki is angry and lashes out at everyone. I find something familiar about Loki's life. I have tried to take a different route than Loki. I have tried to transcend this realm to escape the restriction of this time and place.

Social Breakdown Is A Good Thing

   Decay is all around us, but decay is good because as one thing rots away, another thing rises and becomes. We should not despair as things fall apart around us. We should prepare for a new order. For some of us the new way will be of pure energy. For others it will be a better physical system made of civilized nations (civilization). Remember that we are living in a time of transformation. Do not fight change, ride change into a new existence, even if means you will lose everything you have today.

New American Century

   The new American century is already bringing visible changes. Here is what I think that the United States will look like as we move further into the 21st century. Public space will actually belong to the masses of the people. Some of the space will be used for recreation and other parts will be used for displaced people. The displaced people will organize into tent cities or towns. Electric cars  and buses will replace other forms of transportation. Mass transit will be four bus long automobiles linked together like trains. Underground railroads will become obsolete and the space beneath will become residential space. This will cut the displacement of citizens down to a small number. Educators will all have websites. When you want to take a class by a particular educator you will go to their website and view videos of their explanations of the subject that they master. K to 12 education will look the same as the higher education. Children will move through the levels of education based on their ability to grasp the necessary concepts. The job interview will become obsolete. People will show up at an institutions and either take a written examination or work a simulated day. Those who do well will receive the jobs.

Solving NYC's Housing Problem

   Every place I turn I see building going up or old buildings renovated. Yet more families are homeless in New York City today than at any time since the government has been keeping statistics. With government stats I usually double the amount because I know that they lie about the real problems. Right now there are over 43, 000 homeless people in New York City. Mayor Bloomberg has set up what he calls drop in centers. A homeless person drops in, goes through a series of interviews, and is told to return to the place where they were living the previous year. The solution to the housing problem in New York City is to set aside a group of housing units for low income families. Before you cry no more welfare, remember that Bloomberg has used this formula to help artist in NYC. Many of the units in NYC are empty because no one can afford to live in them. To leave these units empty while people sleep at Grand Central Station at night is insane.
