New American Century

   The new American century is already bringing visible changes. Here is what I think that the United States will look like as we move further into the 21st century. Public space will actually belong to the masses of the people. Some of the space will be used for recreation and other parts will be used for displaced people. The displaced people will organize into tent cities or towns. Electric cars  and buses will replace other forms of transportation. Mass transit will be four bus long automobiles linked together like trains. Underground railroads will become obsolete and the space beneath will become residential space. This will cut the displacement of citizens down to a small number. Educators will all have websites. When you want to take a class by a particular educator you will go to their website and view videos of their explanations of the subject that they master. K to 12 education will look the same as the higher education. Children will move through the levels of education based on their ability to grasp the necessary concepts. The job interview will become obsolete. People will show up at an institutions and either take a written examination or work a simulated day. Those who do well will receive the jobs.

Solving NYC's Housing Problem

   Every place I turn I see building going up or old buildings renovated. Yet more families are homeless in New York City today than at any time since the government has been keeping statistics. With government stats I usually double the amount because I know that they lie about the real problems. Right now there are over 43, 000 homeless people in New York City. Mayor Bloomberg has set up what he calls drop in centers. A homeless person drops in, goes through a series of interviews, and is told to return to the place where they were living the previous year. The solution to the housing problem in New York City is to set aside a group of housing units for low income families. Before you cry no more welfare, remember that Bloomberg has used this formula to help artist in NYC. Many of the units in NYC are empty because no one can afford to live in them. To leave these units empty while people sleep at Grand Central Station at night is insane.

Why I Created the Scholar's Room

   One day My wife I went into the local library because she wanted to pick up the book Tis by Frank McCourt. She stood in the middle of the noisy library and said, they don't have anything in here. She said that we had more books in our house. Of course I do not have as many books in my house as the library, but I have a lot of good books in good condition. My house is also quiet, so that you want to study you can it in peace. I started the Scholar's Room to give scholars a place to research in quiet. You can also copy documents here. By the way the copy of Tis had missing pages. If you join the Scholars Room as an annual member you can borrow books as well as receive books by mail. Why I Created Ascension Hall

   When I created the Mighty Pen Center for Literacy & Research I wanted it to be more like a university. I wanted to service everyone from young adults to elderly adults. I knew that it had to include a spiritual component. I dedicated one page to help build the spirit of the people. I call the page Ascension Hall because I want others to rise or grow from where ever their spirit is. Ascension Hall has over 100 statements that will touch the spirits of those who will read them. Why I Create Knowledge Packets

   I have been trying to educate people for years. The schooling system is pulling in the opposite direction. I realized that I had to create an institution of my own, a place where people could learn. The internet allowed me to do that. Schools hand out assignments in order to keep people busy. I had to create assignments that would make people think critically, so I put together knowledge packets. the packets educate in three ways: exposes readers to scholarly works of literature, offer assignments that provoke thought, and gives analysis for readers to debate. How to Start You Own Town

   You can start a town with as little as two people. First you get a group. As a group you can write out or agree upon a set of codes of conduct. Once you have a code of conduct you can agree upon a piece of land or living spaces that are as close to each other as possible. Your group should set up a system for health care, education, security, and industry. Find out what talents each member of the group has, and use those talents to strengthen the town. Save an amount of money as a group in order to fund town projects and buy necessary equipment. That is the basic foundation for a town. It sounds really simple because it is really simple.

Population Control

   A population of living beings can be controlled in several ways. You can put the entire population into controlled environments where their behavior can be manipulated and monitored. You can put certain members of the population with other members of the population, and encourage this merging. You can keep the population mediocre by making the weak members connect to the strong members, or the weak members connect to the weak, but never allow the strong to connect to the strong in any way. You manipulate the population with the use of popular entertainment and manufactured culture, which you produce. Another way to control a population is with war. This is a brutal way to control a population. You can either declare war on the population, encourage the population to war with itself, or send the population to war with another population. The war method controls the numbers of the members of the population. If you are not a member of a population that is being controlled, you are a member of a population that controlling. There are very few populations that are free these days.
