Orwell, Kafka, and 2012

George Orwell’s 1984 is a novel set in a dystopian society. That is to say a society ruled by the few for the benefit of only themselves. The overwhelming majority of people in Orwell’s Oceania work for the ruling caste in every sense. The masses of the citizens in this dystopia also live their lives under the control of the rulers. Even the reproduction of human beings is done in a controlled environment in a scientific manner.

Franz Kafka is known as one of the darker authors as far as material is concerned. However, the fact of the matter is that he is a brilliant portrayer of reality. The Metamorphosis is Kafka’s most well known work in the United States. This may be because the overwhelming majority of the citizens in the U. S. are middle class citizens that labor simply to sustain themselves or maintain their life styles. Kafka uses Gregor Samsa to portray the life of a western style worker that is disintegrating. Kafka was trying to warn us all to be aware of what we work toward, less we become worse than the vermin of the earth, for even vermin have natural routines.

2012 was an excellent film that contained something everyone could enjoy. The story was well written and relevant to every human being’s life. The action was exciting enough to make even movie veterans tighten their fists. The characters were enduring as well as endearing. 2012 was dashed with a little syrup here and there, but the ultimate outcome was real.

We Cannot Negotiate With Nature

World leaders met in Copenhagen to discuss climate change. You know, the usual stuff: carbon reduction plans, alternative sources of energy, and aid to developing nations struggling with the affects of climate change. Secretaries along with cabinet members spoke about reducing emissions by certain percentages by a certain date. It is too bad that they do not realize you cannot negotiate with nature.

The earth is a living organism. This is a fact that seems to escape the minds of the leadership caste around the world. Anything that lives will try to protect itself if threatened. It is one of the first laws of science that we understand, every action has an equal or greater reaction. The leaders must have forgotten what they learned in middle school. We have overwhelmed the planet with all sorts of poisons. Poisons which have done us no good either by the way. The planet is convulsing and in a just manner we are all caught up in the earth’s healing of itself.

We see an event as a natural disaster because it causes damage to us. The plain truth of it is that the disaster occurs at our hand. What we call disaster is actually a correction of our errors. When we destroy wetlands hurricanes run inland. When we over work soil we receive erosion in return. The solution to the climate problem is simple. If we want a less violent climate then we must stop behaving violently toward it.

Trying to negotiate with nature is futile. Words followed by deals on pieces of paper mean nothing. If we want a more natural climate, then we should live more natural lifestyles. Action attracts action.

Plantation America

The United States is the only country that gives its citizens health care through employers. This fact is often mentioned on political talk shows from time to time, but no one explains why this is the case. The U. S. was founded by owners for owners. These owners ran the U. S. then as a plantation, their descendants are running it as a plantation now.

The plantation consisted of two main actors. One was the master (boss) who owned everything on the plantation including other human beings called slaves. The slaves (workers) spent most of their time producing wealth for the bosses. The workers received as many amenities as was necessary to keep them healthy enough to work. When a boss thought that a worker might need more than the boss was willing to spend on them, that worker was sold to another boss. Everyone else other than the boss and worker revolved around the plantation, primarily the worker. There were overseers, clerks, doctors, lawyers, insurers, sailors, auctioneers, etc. All were invested in keeping the workers and bosses in their places.

In 2010 an overwhelming majority of the workers in the U. S. are descendants of plantation workers. They labor long hours for the descendants of plantation bosses. Today’s worker earns just enough money to allow them to return to work. If a worker begins to accomplish what resembles upward mobility or a boss thinks that a worker may want a raise in pay, that worker is laid off or forced out of their position. An unemployed laborer has to travel begging other bosses to take them into their companies. In 2010 we have: police officers, clerks, lawyers, doctors, insurers, non-governmental agents, etc. All invested in keeping the workers and bosses in their places.

The United States was then, is now, the largest plantation on earth. Here we are all involved in the lottery of birth. If your immediate ancestors had, you have. If your immediate ancestors did not have, neither do you.

The Message to Our Children

In the past children in the New York City were told to work hard, do what was right, and they would have a chance to be successful. The message for the children of the 21st century is different from the 20th century. The current generation is told to be perverse, mediocre, and slick in order to succeed.

Michael Bloomberg implemented a program for the students on New York City. The program pays students cash to come to school on time and complete their assignments. So the purpose of learning is not the pursuit of excellence for the sake of intellectual development, but cash in hand.

These children fit right into a society that rewards criminal activity with the earnings of the hard working every day people. We saw developers along with financiers cheat their way into a greater wealth using real-estate. Some of these characters broke laws. Were they arrested? No. These crooks were given more money from the very citizens that they hustled.

The first generation of the new millennium has learned to do their worst if they want to gain. Fortunately for us, this lifestyle cannot hold. As quickly as the children have learned to be slicksters, they will have to unlearn it.

Yeshua and African People

It is common to hear an African person say that Christianity is the religion of the oppressor. So why would any African embrace such a religion no matter how far they are from Africa. It would be better to follow the laws of Kemet. One would have to agree that Kemet is the foundation for all religious teachings. It is not contradictory to admit that Yeshua is more like the average African than any other Prophet.

First of all Yeshua spent his formal years in Africa. This fact is often glossed over, but is very important. Yeshua would have learned some, if not all, Kemetic principles. We know that the lessons of our early years are often what shape us as adults. So Yeshua is more African than Israeli. The reason Yeshua had to flee his home makes him like us African people. Yeshua was living under the occupation of the Roman Empire. Every African on this planet is living under the occupation of an empire.

Yeshua as an adult is so much like modern African people that it is difficult not to follow his teachings as a black man in the Empire of the United States. Yeshua tried to show all of the members of institutions of his colonized city how to live with a higher sense of consciousness. They were all so corrupt, oppressors and the oppressed, that they hated him for it. Yeshua had to go to those who suffered so much that they were the only ones who recognized how awful the situation at hand was. Sound familiar to you?

As a black man the question was never how could I follow the teachings of Yeshua. The question is how can anyone that is black on this planet ignore Yeshua’s teachings?

Tiger Woods Misunderstood

The fact that Tiger Woods committed act of infidelity with numerous women is of no importance to anyone outside of the immediate situation. It is not even interesting when compared to other acts of deviance in our society. What is crucial about the behavior of Woods is how deeply ignorant he is of the social allowances of the United States. Woods did not fully understand who he is in the eyes of the dominant community.

Tiger Woods was off on the wrong course from the very beginning. In an interview he said that he was not black. The dominant community is comfortable with black people that utter such statements. The problem is, Woods believed it. Of course he was the only that did believe it. This is what caused Woods to make the next two crucial mistakes.

Mistake number one is that he married and impregnated a woman from the dominant community. That act put him under the watchful eye of the dominant community. They watched Woods carefully, allowing him to have his affairs as long as his wife did not mind. Woods then made his second mistake. He treated his wife as an equal or lesser than himself. Woods was supposed to cherish his wife. She is a member of the dominant group and that is worth more than any amount of money in Wood’s hands.

Tiger Woods had no appreciation for how the dominant community viewed him. If his vision is not clear now it will become clear over the next few years. Woods is a black man and I am glad to have him. Mr. Woods, can we call you Tiger?

Obama’s Mistake

The 2008 presidential election was the most exciting election of our life time, maybe in the history of the United States. It was exciting because it was important, it was important because it was so varied. At the end we were left to choose between three candidates that represented the three types of rulers.
John McCain represented those of the ruling caste that believe in dominant rule. The dominant ruler wants the masses to serve them at all cost to ourselves, no cost to the ruling caste. Hillary Clinton represented those of the ruling caste that believe in parental responsibility. The parental ruler thinks that the masses are all like children, incapable of taking care of ourselves. Barack Obama represented those of the ruling caste that believe in lenient rule. The lenient ruler thinks that the masses should have some say over our lives, but leave the great issues to them.
So why has Obama’s first year been a failure? Obama does not fully under the ruling class. He is trying to create consensus between the rulers. Obama does not fully understand that the rulers function as a block. When one type of the ruling class wins, the others concede. They know that in the end rulers win no matter which faction is in control of the nation. All Obama has to do is the bidding of the lenient rulers. He has to enlarge the portion of the pie received by the masses from a crumb to a slice or two.
The ruling caste has had their inner battle and the lenient rulers have won. This means a slight victory for those of us on the bottom as well. Let us just hope that our young president understands this before it is too late.
